TORQUE REDUCTION CABLE SYSTEM
Winner’s Choice Custom Bowstrings Inc. manufacturers of the worlds finest bowstrings, is proud to announce the introduction of a product that is destined to redefine the accuracy potential of the single cam bow. Our new TRC TM System (PAT # 6,659,096. Will retrofit on many of today’s single cam and hybrid cam bows, and will eliminate between 60% to 80% of the side torque generated by the standard cable guard system. The reduction of cable guard induced side torque produces many accuracy enhancing benefits including reduction in left and right arrows caused by buss cable induced torque, improved bow stability and holdability, and enhanced forgiveness of shooting errors that are magnified by this type of bow torque. Many shooters notice that their sight pins are not in alignment with the arrow when the bow is at rest. This is usually a direct result of cable guard torque. (That is the bows sight is compensating for the cable guard induced torque in the bow, and as a result is out of the visible plane of the arrow.) The TRC system will virtually eliminate this phenomenon.
The standard buss cable on the single cam bow is responsible for a disproportionately large part of the imparted torque. Our system splits the buss cable into two sections to a point just below the area of the arrow pass, and leaves both sides of the buss cable in a torque free state. The splitter itself is length adjustable to enable the distance between the cable’s two sides to be easily manipulated to attain a free-floating state with virtually any cable guard or limb arrangement. While one side of the cable does still route through a cable slide for guidance, it is essentially floating free in the groove, imparting no torque to the cable guard or bow. While the cable slide is still necessary to hold the return side of the string out of the arrow plane and does impart some pressure on the cable guard, this torque is also reduced due to the fact that the return side of the string can run in the “closest to the arrow” position (the opposite of the conventional system). The TRC system will not eliminate 100% of cable guard induced torque, but depending on the application, can reduce it by as much as 80%. Also, unlike the split buss cable systems designed for dual cam bows, which must run one side of the buss cable very near the bow arm, our system operates above the bow arm, so arm clearance is not a problem.
The TRC system will work on most conventional single cam bows that utilizes an above the rest type cable guard. The system is also recommended (but not restricted to) bows with at least 4” between the bow grip and the nearest buss cable for total arm clearance. It is important to realize that the above criteria are only a guideline, and this product will not work with all bow applications or brands. -" the TRC system requires that the buss cable and the return side of the string NATURALLY cross above the bows shelf. Bows with oversized top idler wheels such as the Mathews Q2XL and 2002 Hoyt's with dual track idler will not accept the TRC system."
When ordering a TRC system please be ready to give the shelf height measurement. To obtain this measurement, simply lay a straight edge across the bows shelf with the end extending toward the bowstring. Then measure the distance from the axle to the straight edge parallel to the string. if you have any questions about this measurement please contact us."
Suggested retail is $93.00 for standard two color (twisted below the splitter, and one color on each side above.
