Mike is an avid bowhunter and professional archer. He has harvested numerous big game animals, including 29 elk with a bow, and 12 Pope and Young class animals.

Mike has won championships on the state and national level. He also competes in the Buckmasters events and had 4 appearances in the former ESPN great outdoor games.
